Location: Berlin, Germany.
A Note From The Artist:
This photograph was created in the midst of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. I was visiting Berlin at the time for Oktoberfest. The weather in Europe during this time of the year can be a bit of a hit and miss with mostly cloudy, maybe some drizzling but hardly down pouring.
I took a stroll along the Spree River one afternoon after some lunch. The weather was overcast, the air was crisp but not chilly. Although it was only midday, it definitely felt like an evening especially with the sensation of food coma. I was mincing like a zombie in a euphoric state.
As I ventured further along the river, I entered a section of the walkway filled with autumnal trees. I was instantly awakened by a combination of awestruck and the visually stimulating orange-yellow-brown color. The bright color evoked a sense of joy and happiness in me while injecting some optimism into the grey weather. The earthy color of the tree trunks, on the other hand, seemed like a calming gesture of comfort from mother nature.
